Raid Zero

A FIRST Robotics Competition team based in Taipei, Taiwan

We are one of the first FRC teams in East Asia. Founded in 2012 by Matt Fagen and a few other students, we have grown to be a team of over 70 members in various subteams. Over the years, we initially started with a room in the basement of our school, but have since expanded to our own engineering facility, the Tech Cube, which houses our machine shop, build space, and a full field. With the rapid growth in student interest for FRC, we then decided to split off into two teams: 4253 (Raid Zero) and 8503 (Raid One), our sister team.

Impact is one of the core principles of FRC. Beyond building robots, we also strive to bring robotics to the global community through outreach programs. Over the years, we have organized and assisted in over 100 events, ranging from local workshops to international outreach programs. Notably, we have helped start other FRC teams in East Asia, especially in Taiwan and the Philippines.
